Councilmember Pearson introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #05-01-006 RESOLUTION APPROVING FINAL PAYMENT NO 2 TO PENN CONTRACTING INC. TH I.P. #04-24 HELIUM STREET/169 AVENUE DRAINAGE PROJECT WHEREAS, on July 13, 2004, the Ramsey City Council authorized plans and specifications for the above referenced work; and WHEREAS, on August 10, 2004, the Ramsey City Council adopted Resolution #04-08- 218 awarding the contract for IP #04-24 to Penn Contracting in the amount of $66,240.00; and WHEREAS, City Engineer, Steve Jankowski has inspected the completed work and recommends partial payment to Penn Contracting in the amount of $63,331.66. WHEREAS, City Engineer, Steve Jankowski has inspected the completed work and recommends final payment no 2 to Penn Contracting in the amount of $7,099.24. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) That the City Council hereby authorizes partial payment to Penn Contracting, Inc. for Improvement Project #04-24 in the amount of $7,099.24. 2) That the City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor or City Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. 3) That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills for the date of January 11, 2005. 4) That the City of Ramsey Finance Department will be provided a signed copy of this resolution.
