<br />Councilmember Look introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #10-01-022 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NOT TO WAIVE STATUATORY TORT LIMITS FOR LMCIT LIABILITY <br />COVERAGE <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> city staff has reviewed the impacts of waiving and not-waiving statutory tort limits for <br /> <br />liability insurance with the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />City Council has determined it is in the best interest of the City to not waive the <br /> <br />statutory tort limits for liability insurance with LMCIT. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, <br />ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA: <br /> <br />1) That the City Council of the City of Ramsey does not waive the statutory tort limits for LMCIT <br />liability coverage. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Elvig, and <br />upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Ramsey <br /> Councilmember Look <br /> Councilmember Elvig <br /> Councilmember Dehen <br /> Councilmember McGlone <br /> Councilmember Wise <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br /> Councilmember Jeffrey <br /> <br />th <br />Whereupon said resolution was declared duly passed and adopted by the Ramsey City Council this the 12 <br />day of January, 2010. <br /> <br /> Mayor <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />City Clerk <br />
