BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Board of Adjustment conducted a public hearing on Thursday, August 23, 1990 at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota regarding Mr. <br />Jack Mowry's request for a variance to construct an accessory structure nearer the front property <br />line than the principal structure. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mr. Terry Hendriksen, Chairman <br />Mr. Charles LaDue <br />Mr. Ben Deemer <br />Mr. Gerald Zimmerman <br />Mr. Bradley Thorud <br />Mr. David Bawden <br />Mr. Michael Terry <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Engineer Steven Jankowski <br />Acting Community Development Director Sylvia Frolik <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairman Hendriksen called the public hearing to order at 7:42 p.m. <br /> <br />PRESENTATION <br /> <br />Sylvia Frolik explained that Mr. Mowry is requesting a variance to construct an accessory structure <br />nearer the front property line than the principal structure at 16361 Dysprosium Street N.W. Sylvia <br />Frolik stated that Mr. Mowry is restricted from building his accessory structure in the rear yard <br />because he would have to encroach on the Rum River setback in order to meet setback <br />requirements from the septic system. Mr. Mowry is also restricted from building his accessory <br />structure in the side yard because to do so would require significantly altering the topography of <br />the lot by the addition of fill material and the removal of a significant number of mature trees. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Mr. Jack Mowry was present. There was no other citizen input. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Bawden to adjourn the public <br />hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Hendriksen, Commissioners Deemer, Bawden, LaDue, <br />Terry, Thorud and Zimmerman.
