FIRE BOARD <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Fire Board conducted a regular meeting on Wednesday, August 9, 1989 at the <br />Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mr. Alan Pearson, Chairman <br />Mr. David Bawden <br />Mr. Richard Cich <br />Mr. Alred LaTour <br />Mr. Jayme Spence <br />Mr. Steven Wilson <br />Mr. David Hartley, City Administrator <br />Mr. Bruce Hoeke, Fire Chief/ex-officio <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson called the regular meeting of the Fire Board to order at 7:40 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Mr. Bawden and seconded by Mr. Harfley to approve the agenda as submitted. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Pearson, Board members Bawden, Cich, LaTour, <br />Spence, Wilson and Hartley. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />BOARD BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Purchase Additional 4 SCBA With Masks: <br /> <br />Mr. Hoeke stated that 4 SCBA units are needed to fill out the pumper with 6 SCBA units. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley explained that even though they may be budgeted for, purchases over $500 <br />require Council approval; the funds for this purchase would be derived from the fire <br />department start-up fund taken from the Landfill Trust Fund. <br /> <br />Mr. Bawden noted that this particular purchase will put the Fire Department over budget; <br />inquired as to the fund balance in the Fire Department Budget. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley replied that he does not have budget information available at this time. <br /> <br />Motion by Mr. Bawden and seconded by Mr. Spence to request City Council authorization <br />to purchase 4 SCBA units with masks. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Pearson, Board members Bawden, Cich, LaTour, <br />Spence, Wilson and Hartley.
