PROCEEDINGS OF CITY COUNCIL <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a special meeting on Tuesday, September 9, <br />1986 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gary Reimann <br />Councilmember Jean Schlueter <br />Councilmember A1 Sorteberg <br />Councilmember Arnie Cox <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator David Hartley <br />City Engineer Peter Raatikka <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />Community Development Director Anne Norris <br /> <br />GALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Reimann called the special Council meeting to order at 8:05 p.m. and led <br />in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />CITIZEN IN~UT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Sorteberg to approve <br />the agenda with the following additions: <br /> <br /> Case #4: DNR Grant For Emergency Pumping <br /> <br /> Case #5: Filling Council Seat Vacancy <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Mayor Reimann, Counc ilmembers Sorteberg, Cox and <br />Schlueter. Voting No: None. <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />~ Industrial Utilities: <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka stated that 6 bids for sanitary sewer and water improvements to <br />the Industrial area were received. The low bid was $275,000 over the estimate. <br /> <br />Mr. Hartley stated that it is Mr. Goodrich's advice that Council take no <br />specific action to award the contract as the bids were substantially over the <br />City Engineer's estimate; the reason for the bid overs is because of necessary <br />dewatering in the area.
