PLAI~NING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br /> CITY OF P,A/MSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing on <br />Tuesday, May 6, 1986 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., <br />Ramsey, Minnesota regarding Mr. James Roberts' request for a conditional use <br />permit to operate telephone and catalog sales and repair service for firearms <br />from home. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Mr. Gerald Zimmerman, Vice Chairman <br />Mr. Ben Deemer <br />Mr. Jim Howell <br />Mr. Terry Hendricksen <br />Mr. Charles LaDue <br /> <br />Community Development Director Anne Norris <br /> <br />Mr. Kenneth Peterson, Chairman <br />Mr. Roy Shumway <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Vice Chairman Zimmerman called the public hearing to order at 7:33 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Mr. Roberts was present and stated that he would like a permit to sell firearms <br />from his home by catalog only; there will be no weapons stored at the home for <br />display purposes. In the future, weapon repair will also be carried on at the <br />home. Anticipated traffic flow to home would be 2-3 cars per week. <br /> <br />There was no further citizen input. <br /> <br />Vice Chairman Zimmerman noted receipt of a letter from Mr. & Mrs. Hagemann <br />stating no objection to the request of Mr. Roberts. Mrs. Bonnie Hagemann was <br />also present at the hearing. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Hendriksen and seconded by Commissioner Deemer to <br />adjourn the public hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: <br />Howell, Hendriksen and LaDue. <br />and Co~nissioner Shumway. <br /> <br />Vice Chairman Zimmerman, Commissioners Deemer, <br />Voting No: None.
