PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing on <br />Tuesday, April 1, 1986 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. <br />N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota, regarding the Ramsey Lions' request for a conditional <br />use permit to hold sand drag races and mud runs. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mr. Kenneth Peterson, Chairman <br />Mr. Roy Shumway <br />Mr. Jim Howell <br />Mr. Gerald Zimmerman <br />Mr. Terry Hendriksen <br />Mr. Charles LaDue <br />Mr. Ben Deemer <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Planner Anne Norris <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson called the public hearing to order at 7:35 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Brad Dahl and Jim Beck were present representing the Ramsey Lions. <br /> <br />Commissioner Deemer noted that there are Council minutes indicating that the <br />person initiating the petition opposing the Lions' sand races did state that <br />the 1985 sand races were conducted in a manner that was not so offensive to <br />neighboring residences and had no objection to the races being held again in <br />1986 if they would be conducted likewise. <br /> <br />There was no citizen further citizen input. <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />Motion by Commissioner Deemer and seconded by Commissioner Hendriksen to <br />adjourn the public hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Peterson, Commissioners Shumway, Deemer, <br />Zimmerman, LaDue, Hendriksen and Howell.
