<br />Councilmember Backous introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION#13-01-008 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXTENSION OF SERVICE AGREEMENT WITH <br />OPUS 21 FOR UTILITY BILLING SERVICES <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> the City of Ramsey currently owns, operates and maintains its own utility <br />systems; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> the costs in conjunction with providing those utility systems are born by the <br />uses through payment of utility billings; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> the City of Ramsey currently uses the services of OPUS 21 to bill utility <br />services on a quarterly basis; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> the City of Ramsey has been in a contract relationship with OPUS 21 From <br />February 7, 2008 with the scheduled ending date of February 6, 2013; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />the City would like to extend the contract with OPUS 21 for the period of <br />February 7, 2013 through February 6, 2016, with two one-year renewal options which could <br />extend the contract through February 6, 2018. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) That the City Administrator is hereby authorized to enter into a three-year billing <br />agreement with OPUS 21 effective February 7, 2013 with the addition of two one-year <br />renewal options. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Kuzma, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Strommen <br /> Councilmember Backous <br /> Councilmember Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Elvig <br /> Councilmember LeTourneau <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Tossey <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />
