<br />Councilmember Elvig introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #13-01-012 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FINAL PAYMENT TO ALLIED BLACKTOP FOR <br />CITY IMPROVEMENT <br />PROJECT #12-00; 2012 STREET MAINTENANCE PROGRAM <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> on March 13, 2012 the Ramsey City Council ordered Improvement Project <br />12-00; 2012 Street Maintenance Program, and called for the preparation of plans and <br />specifications; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> on May 22, 2012 the Ramsey City Council accepted the plans and <br />authorized the solicitation of bids; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> pursuant to an advertisement for bids for Improvement Project 12-00; 2012 <br />Street Maintenance Program, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />Allied Blacktop Company is the lowest responsible bidder; and <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> as of December 26, 2012 $497,318.27 has been paid to date; and <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br /> Engineering Technician IV has inspected the completed work and <br />recommends final payment to Allied Blacktop Company in the amount of $28,699.65. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />1)That the City Council hereby authorizes final payment to Allied Blacktop Company for <br />Improvement Project #12-00; 2012 Street Maintenance Program in the amount of <br />$28,699.65. <br /> <br /> <br />2)That the City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor or City <br />Administrator to sign the release form for this payment. <br /> <br /> <br />3)That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of <br />bills for the date of December 26, 2012. <br /> <br /> <br />4)That the City of Ramsey Finance Department will be provided a signed copy of this <br />resolution. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Tossey and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> <br /> Mayor Strommen <br /> Councilmember Elvig <br /> <br />
