<br />Commissioner Tossey introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #HRA 14-01-020 <br /> <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION ELIMINATING COMPENSATION FOR HRA COMMISSIONERS <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS <br />, pursuant to the authority granted in Minn. Stat. Chapter 469 the City of <br />Ramsey, Anoka County, Minnesota (the “City”) has established a Housing and Redevelopment <br />Authority (“HRA”) to serve the City and for the purposes as prescribed in Minn. Stat. §469.001; and <br />WHEREAS <br />, Minn. Stat.§469.011 Subd. 4 provides that each HRAs “. . . commissioner may <br />be paid up to $75.00 for attending each regular and special meeting of the authority.”; and <br />WHEREAS <br />, the HRA desired to pay its Commissioners as provided in Minn. Stat. §469.011, <br />Subd. 4; and <br />WHEREAS, <br />commencing January 2011, HRA Commissioners began receiving payment at <br />the rate of $25.00 for attending each regular and special meeting of the authority; and <br />WHEREAS, <br />at year-end, 2013, the HRA discussed eliminating compensation to the HRA <br />Commissioners for meeting attendance and directed that a formal motion be made to that effect; and <br />WHEREAS, <br />adoption of this resolution will formally eliminate payment of compensation to <br />the HRA Commissioners. <br />NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSING AND <br />REDEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />1.That commencing in February 2014, HRA Commissioners shall no longer be paid at the rate <br />of $25.00 for attending each regular and special meeting of the authority. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was fully seconded by Commissioner Johns, <br />and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> Commissioner Tossey <br /> Commissioner Johns <br /> Commissioner Kuzma <br /> Commissioner LeTourneau <br /> Commissioner Riley <br /> Commissioner Strommen <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br /> None <br /> <br /> <br />
