The Ramsey Police Department hosted training this week titled Cultural <br />Awareness, Communication and Conflict Resolution. The purpose of the training was to provide <br />officers with practical communication tools needed to assist them in cultural competency and <br />dialog. All officers attended the training <br />I've fallen and Can't Get Up. An insurance agent in Edina called Anoka County Dispatch <br />reporting that one of his clients had called him to report that she had fallen in the garage, was <br />injured and could not get up. Upon arrival at the residence, officers made verbal contact with a <br />female who was calling for help. At the request of the female, officers broke into the garage to <br />assist her. When the officers entered the garage, the woman stood up and said "Hi ". Officers <br />found her to be very intoxicated, with a PBT reading of .35. She agreed to go with paramedics to <br />the hospital. Happy hour started early, it was 1415 hrs. <br />PW Activities. Mostly just routine maintenance for our department. Because of the recent heavy <br />rains we have been receiving quite a few calls on plugged culverts and standing water in places <br />it's normally not seen. No structures have been threatened, but people are not use to seeing water <br />
