CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a work session on Tuesday, February 4, 2003, <br />Ramsey Fire Station Number I, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Todd Cook <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember Patti Kurak <br />Councilmember A1 Pearson <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br />Councilmember Jerry Zimmerman <br /> <br />City Administrator, James E. Norman <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />Principal Planner Patrick Trudgeon <br />Director of Public Works/Fire Chief Dean Kapler <br /> <br />at the <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the work session of the City Council to order at 5:45 p.m. <br /> <br />WORK SESSION TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1) Highway #10 Corridor <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman requested that the Council discuss the Highway #10 Corridor. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman explained that staff met with The Tinklenberg Group to begin the <br />process. At this point they are working with staff on reviewing properties, valuations, etc. <br /> <br />Councilmember Strommen inquired as to why the City would consider meeting with Mr. <br />Oberstar and Mr. Kennedy as well as The Tinklenberg Group. <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman agreed that they should meet with Mr. Oberstar and Mr. Kennedy. <br /> <br />Councilmember Cook stated that he understands that there might be local businesses impacted by <br />the decision the City makes regarding the Highway #10 corridor, but if the City takes a proactive <br /> <br />City Council/February 4, 2003 <br /> Page 1 of 7 <br /> <br /> <br />
