Councilmember Kuzma introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #15-01-018 <br />RESOLUTION ACCEPTING FEASIBILITY REPORT AND ORDERING PUBLIC <br />HEARING FOR GARNET STREET AND 168TH AVENUE RECONSTRUCTION <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted February 25, 2014, a <br />Feasibility Report has been prepared by the City Engineer with reference to proposed <br />improvements to Garnet Street from 167th Avenue to the north plat line of Now and Then Estates, <br />and 168th Avenue west of Garnet Street, including the reconstruction of streets and curb and <br />gutter, the construction of sidewalks, storm sewer, and public utilities, and other appurtenant <br />work as needed; and <br />WHEREAS, benefiting properties are proposed to be assessed for all or a portion of the <br />cost of the improvements, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Council received the Feasibility Report on January 13, 2015; and <br />WHEREAS, the Feasibility Report provides information regarding whether the proposed <br />project is necessary, cost-effective and feasible; <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1. The Council will consider the proposed improvements for said streets in accordance with <br />the Feasibility Report and the assessment of benefiting properties for all or a portion of the <br />cost of the improvements pursuant to Minnesota Statues, Chapter 429, at an estimated <br />total cost of $1,675,000. <br />2. A Public Hearing will be held on such improvements on the 10th day of February, 2015 in <br />the Council Chambers of City Hall at 7:00 p.m., and the Clerk shall give mailed and <br />published notice of such hearing and improvements as required by law. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Johns, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Strommen <br />Councilmember Kuzma <br />Councilmember Johns <br />Councilmember LeTourneau <br />Councilmember Riley <br />Councilmember Shryock <br />Councilmember Williams <br />
