Councilmember Johns introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: RESOLUTION #15-01-017 RESOLUTION APPROVING DEDICATION OF FORCEMAIN TO THE CITY OF RAMSEY WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Ramsey is the official governing body of the City of Ramsey; and WHEREAS, Waste Management, Inc. entered into an agreement with the City in January, 1991 to construct a ground water treatment system for the landfill operated by Waste Management with a forcemain to the existing City storm sewer located at Sunfish Lake Boulevard and Riverdale Drive; and WHEREAS, this agreement provided for transferring the forcemain to the City when Waste Management, Inc. ceased use of the pipe; and WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota, acting by and through the COMMISSIONER OF THE MINNESOTA POLLUTION CONTROL AGENCY, acquired the assets of the Anoka Regional Mixed Municipal Solid Waste Disposal Facility through a Landfill Cleanup Agreement effective October 15, 1997 which included this forcemain; and WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey has requested transfer of the forcemain and the COMMISSIONER OF THE MINNESOTA POLLUTION CONTROL AGENCY has prepared an Agreement Regarding Dedication of Forcemain to the City of Ramsey dated July 28, 2014. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: 1) The City of Ramsey accepts dedication of the forcemain as described in the referenced documents. 2) The Mayor and City administrator are authorized to sign the Agreement Regarding Dedication of Forcemain on behalf of the City. The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember Kuzma upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: Mayor Strommen Councilmember Johns Councilmember Kuzma Councilmember LeTourneau Councilmember Riley Councilmember Shryock Councilmember Williams
