Councihnember Elvig introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> <br />RESOLUTION #04-01-009 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION CHANGING CITY HALL OFFICE HOURS <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, current City Hall office hours are 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., which requires <br />nine hours of reception and department coverage everyday; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, non-exempt employees and members of the AFSCME bargaining unit are <br />required to be paid over time or compensatory time for hours worked in excess of eight; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, city staff has requested that office hours be changed to coincide with an <br />eight hour work day and a ½ hour un-paid lunch hour as per state low and bargaining unit <br />contracts. <br /> <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> <br />1) <br /> <br />That the City Council of the City of Ramsey authorizes the change in City Hall office <br />hours to 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. effective Monday, January 26, 2004. <br /> <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Kurak, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilmember Elvig <br />Councihnember Kurak <br />Councihnember Cook <br />Councihnember Pearson <br />Councilmember Strommen <br /> <br />and the following voted against the same: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following abstained: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />and the following were absent: <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman <br /> <br /> <br />
