As part of our strategic plan to communicate a stronger, more
consistent City of Ramsey image, staff will be rolling -out standardized graphics to be used across
all departments, and for City marketing, informational, and promotional material. This initiative
is aimed at updating and refreshing existing materials for consistency and improved
professionalism, and will complement the City's existing brand. New designs will be phased -in
over time, as we deplete existing stocks of business cards, letter head, etc. Other new material,
such as flyers, brochure and folder templates, and display banners will also be developed over the
next several months. On March 25, 2015, the Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA)
announced that Emerald Ash Borer (EAB) had been found in Anoka County. The EAB infestation
was found in Ham Lake through a call to the Arrest the Pest hotline and was subsequently
confirmed by MDA staff. The confirmation of EAB in Anoka County means that the county will
be put under an emergency quarantine intended to limit the spread of this destructive pest by
limiting the movement of ash trees, wood chips and firewood out of the county. Attached to the
Weekly Update is a Press Release from the MDA regarding EAB.
