ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT COMPANY <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF ~LINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Economic Development Company conducted a meeting on Tuesday, May 10, <br />1988 at the Ramsey P~nicipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mr. Jack Ippel, President <br />Mr. Don Greenberg <br />Mr. Bob Muller <br />~. Dick Carson <br />Mr. Virgil Barnes <br />MN. Art Raudio <br />[ir. Darryl Fults <br />Mr. Ken Wagner (dismissed at 9:00 a.m.) <br />Mr. Tom Kurak <br />Mr. Chris Soderholm <br />Mr. John Zimmer <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mr. Ippel called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. <br /> <br />BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #!: Discussion Regarding Nominating Committee For Election Of <br /> Board Of Directors.: <br /> <br />Mr. Ippel reported that the Nominating Committee has contacted all <br />shareholders of record as of May 10, 1988 regarding their interest in <br />serving on the Board of Directors; all those interested will be nominated. <br />Letters of proxy will be sent to shareholders on May 11. The election will <br />be on June 1. <br /> <br />Case .#2: Discussion Regarding Company Newsletter: <br /> <br />Mr. Ippel stated that he is proposing that the Company issue a newsletter <br />that will present the City's economic development in a positive way to <br />existing residents and businesses and prospective businesses. The <br />frequency of the newsletter could be annual or semi-annual. <br /> <br />Mr. Ippel stated that he would like to issue the first newsletter as soon <br />as possible; it could be paid for by funds in the Company account and Atlas <br />Incinerators has offered to pick up one-half of the cost of the first <br />publication. <br /> <br />Mr. Ippel stated that he is proposing to print an extra 1500 copies of the <br />newsletter to be distributed at trade shows. <br /> <br />Mr. Carson suggested that advertising space be sold in the newsletter to <br />offset the cost of publication. <br /> <br />Motion by Mr. Greenberg and seconded by [;z. Fults to direct Mr. Ippel to <br />coordinate the publication and issuance of the first Company newsletter. <br />Further, that the structure, frequency and financing of future Company <br />Economic Development Company/May 10, 1988 <br /> <br />Page 1 of 2 <br /> <br /> <br />
