PROCEEDINGS OF CITY COUNCIL <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A special meeting of the Ramsey City Council was held on Monday, June 6, <br />1983 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember A1Sorteberg <br />CouncilmeMber Gary Reimann <br />Councilmember Sue Van Wagner <br />Councilmember Jean Schlueter <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Lloyd Schnelle <br />City Building Offical Clayton Berg <br />City Engineer Peter Raatikka <br />Reporter Carolyn Thompson <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the meeting to order at 7:39 p.m. and led in the Pledge <br />of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec explained that tonight's meeting was called to complete <br />unfinished business from the May 31, 1983 regular Council meeting and to <br />conduct a joint meeting between members of Council, P&Z, EDC and Park <br />Board. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Mr. Schnelle and Councilmember Reimann stated that they have been contacted <br />by Ralph Dickenson of Dickenson Lines and that he has an urgent matter <br />he would like to discuss with Council. <br /> <br />Council. consensus is to place Ralph Dickenson on the agenda as Case #5. <br /> <br />Dick Sieber - 15430 Marmoset - Stated he is present tonight representing <br />Ramsey Charter Commission. Mr. Sieber stated that the initial meeting <br />of the Charter Commission was held on Thursday, June 2, 1983 and another <br />meeting is scheduled for Thursday, June 9, 1983 at 7:30 p.m. at Ramsey <br />City Hall Council chambers. Mr. Sieber further commented that regular <br />meeting dates for the Charter Commission are set for the second and <br />fourth Thursdays of the month at 7:30 p.m. in Council chambers. Mr. <br />Sieber stated that rules and procedures were adopted and various committees <br />formed at the initial meeting. Mr. Sieber stated that the first question <br />to be answered by the Charter Commission is: 'does Ramsey need a Charter?' <br />Mr. Sieber extended an invitation to Councilpersons, Ramsey Commission <br />members and general public to attend the Charter Meeting scheduled for <br />Thursday, June 9, 1983, for the purpose of providing input regarding the <br />question before the Charter Commission at this time. <br /> <br />Darryl Fults - 15410 Barium - Stated that he has been contacted several <br />times in the past couple of weeks by a firm in California that would be <br /> <br />Sp C/June 6, 1983 <br /> Page 1 of 8 <br /> <br /> <br />
