AGENDA: Ramsey City Council <br /> <br />TYPE: Special Council Meeting <br /> <br />TIME/DATE: 7:30 p.m., Monday, January 4, 1982 <br /> <br />LOCATION: Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. NW, Ramsey, MN 55303 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />D-2 COUNCIL OLD BUSINESS: <br /> <br /> CASE #1: LEGAL REGARDING THE FOLLOWING: 1) BRINGING LEGAL ACTION <br /> AGAINST THE STATE oF MINNESOTA REGARDING'THE INEQUITIES IN <br /> <br />CASE #2: <br /> <br />ADJOURNMENT <br /> <br />STATE LAW ESTABLISHING FORMULA FOR DISTRIBUTION OF STATE <br />AIDS TO LOCAL GOVERNMENTS; 2) LANDFILL STATUS REGARDI.NG <br />ANOKA LANDFILL CONTRACT TRANSFER: <br /> <br />1) Bringing Legal Action against the State of Minnesota <br /> <br />regarding the Inequities in State Law Establishing <br />Formula for Distribution of State Aids to Local <br /> <br />Governments - The City Attorney and Mr. Gregerson of <br />the Lang, Pauley, and Gregerson law firm will review <br />legal memorandum regarding the Council bringing suit <br />against the State of Minnesota in regards to the in- <br />equities in State law establishing the formula of <br />distribution of State local aids to Cities. <br /> <br />Council Action: Your action will be to approve/dis- <br />approve of taking legal action against the State of <br />Minnesota in regards to the above issue. If you <br />approve of taking legal action, you would have to <br />appoint the City Attorney to pursue it, in which <br />case I would assume you would appoint the firm of <br />Lang, Pauley, and Gregerson to start legal action <br />under the direction of Attorney Goodrich. <br /> <br />2) Landfill Status regarding Anoka Landfill Contract <br /> <br />Transfer - The City Attorney will go over this ~ssue <br />with the Council and will also recommend the action <br />the Council may decide to pursue in regards to this <br />case. <br /> <br />COMPREHENSIVE PLAN: <br /> <br />The City's Comprehensive Plan will be discussed by Mayor Gamec. <br /> <br /> <br />
