PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A regular meeting of the Park and Recreation Commission was held <br />on Thursday, October 17, 1985 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, <br />15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />ME~ERS PRESENT: <br /> <br />Mr. Dennis Donovan, Chairman <br />Mr. John Lichter <br />Ms. Marleen Looyen <br />Mr. Don Lokker <br /> <br />ME~ERS PRESENT: <br /> <br />Ms. Janice Johnson <br />MS. Bill Rustad <br />Mr. Ron Hetland <br /> <br />O~HERS PRESENT: None <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:05 P.M. <br /> <br />A discussion was held regarding the best way to cover losses for <br />the Ramsey Park Festival. Losses are expected to be close to <br />$500 (printing and satelite rental primarily). Since the <br />festival was held as a fundraiser to obtain funds for Central <br />Park the Commission concluded the Park Operating Fund should be <br />used to cover these losses. <br /> <br />Motion by Lichter and seconded by Lokker recommending the Ramsey <br />City Council authaorize payment from the Park Fund to cover these <br />losses. The motion was passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Motion by Looyen and seconded by Lokker to approve the minutes of <br />the September 19, 1985 Commission meeting. The motion was passed <br />unanimously. <br /> <br />The LAWCON Funds memo from City Staff was reviewed and discussed <br />by the Commission.
