PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A regular meeting of the Park and Recreation Commisson was held on Thursday, <br />May 16, 1985 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd., N.W., Ramsey, <br />Minnesota <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mr. John Lichter <br />Ns. Marleen Looyen <br />Mr. Dennis Donovan <br />Mr. Ron Hetland <br />Mr. Don Looker <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Janice Johnson <br />Bill Rustad <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Ms. Claudia Dodge, Ramsey Community School Coordinator, <br />Mr. Pete Raatikka, City Engineer, Mr. Merle Mevissen, <br />Street Superintendent <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Dennis Donovan, Chairmen, called the regular meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />NO CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Approved by consent, <br /> <br />PARK BOARD BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Formula for Fisurin$ Park Dedication Fee: <br /> <br />At the request of Chairman Donovan a copy of this formula is being placed <br />in your agenda <br /> <br />Case #2: West Oaks (Planned Unit Development) Preliminary Development Plan: <br /> <br />Mr. Mike Gair, a representative of North Fork, Inc. was present to discuss with <br />the Park Board the development of West Oaks (Planned Unit Development). Mr. Gair <br />also discussed the park that would be in West Oaks. Included in the area would <br />be tennis courts, picnic area, partial trailway to Lake Itaska developed in the <br />first stage. In subsequent stages; archery, trail way completed, horse stabling <br /> amd picnic area, ball field, vegetation tags on trail, lake enhancement, seeding <br />and v%ewing areas, rest spots. It would be handicapped and easily accessible <br />to the elderly. This would be a private park owned by the residents of the dev- <br />elopment. Mr. Gair was requesting the commission to waive part of the park <br />dedication fee and if they would not do that now, that they keep the doors open <br />for future. <br /> <br />Lichter made motion to approve the project but not waive fee at this time. Hetland <br />seconded, motion was approved by commission, all voted yes <br /> <br /> <br />
