PROCEEDINGS OF CITY COUNCIL <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A special meeting of the Ramsey City Council was held on Monday, May 17, 1982 <br />at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Arnie Cox <br />Councilmember A1Sorteberg (arrived at 7:09 p.m.) <br />Councilmember Sue Van Wagner <br />Councilmember Gary Reimann <br /> <br />City Attorney William Goodrich <br />City Engineer Peter Raatikka <br />City Building Official Clayton Berg <br />Reporter Eric Sandin (left at 7:00 p.m.) <br /> <br />The special meeting of the Ramsey City Council was called to order at 6:47 P.M. <br />Mayor Gamec led in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />None. <br /> <br />COUNCIL BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: Bppointment Of A Per~anent City Engineer: <br /> <br />Councilmember Cox wanted to know what was going to happen now in regards to <br />Hakanson Anderson Associates performing platting for Ramsey. <br /> <br />Mr. Raatikka stated that Hakanson Anderson is willing to cease platting for <br />Ramsey on the basis that it would mean they would be reviewing their own <br />work. <br /> <br />Mr. Gamec suggested that it might be advisable for Hakanson Anderson to <br />appoint a back-up Ramsey City Engineer in the event of Mr. Raatikka's absence. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilmember Cox and seconded by Councilmember Reimann to appoint <br />Mr. Peter Raatikka of Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc. as the Ramsey City <br />Engineer. Further, to approve of the contents of the proposed contract <br />between Hakanson Anderson Associates, Inc. with Mr. Raatikka as principle <br />representative of the firm and City of Ramsey. The Council further authorizes <br />the Mayor and City Administrator to sign the above stated contract for the <br />City of Ramsey. <br /> <br />Motion carried.
