ORDINANCE #04-10 <br /> <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 9 OF THE CITY CODE, WHICH CHAPTER IS KNOWN <br />AS THE ZONING AND SUBDIVISION OF LAND CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE. <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 9.20.11 (R-1 RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT), <br />9.20.12 (R-2 RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT), AND 9.20.13 (R-3 RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT) <br />OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA. <br /> <br />The City of Ramsey ordains: <br /> <br />SECTION 1 AUTHORITY <br /> <br />This ordinance is adopted pursuant to and under the authority of the charter of the City of <br />Ramsey. <br /> <br />SECTION 2. AMENDMENTS <br /> <br />Section 9.20.11 (R-1 Residential District), Subd. 6.e.2 (General R-1 Residential Performance <br />Standards, Lot Landscaping, Number of Plantings) is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />2. Number of Plantings. The minimum number ofoverstory trees on any given lot shall be <br />as required below. <br /> <br />Overstory Deciduous/Coniferous Trees [ 2 tr~es Per dwelling unit <br /> <br />Section 9.20.11 (R-1 Residential District), Subd. 6.e.3 (General R-1 Residential Performance <br />Standards, Lot Landscaping, Minimum Size of Plantings) is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />Minimum Size of Plantings. Required trees shall be of the following minimum planting <br />size: <br /> <br />Deciduous Trees 1 inch diameter as measured six inches above ground <br />Coniferous Trees 5 feet in height <br /> <br />Section 9.20.11 (R-1 Residential District), Subd. 6.e.6 (General R-1 Residential Performance <br />Standards, Lot Landscaping, Required Ground Cover) is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br />6. Required Ground Cover. Lawns are required for all residential developments and shall be <br /> installed with sod, seed, natural ground cover, or native grasses and wild flowers in the R- <br /> I Residential District, within one (1) year of the date the certificate of occupancy for the <br /> principal building was issued. Noxious weeds do not constitute allowed ground cover in <br /> any district. <br /> <br /> <br />
