PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br /> <br /> Regular Meeting of <br /> April 15, 1982 <br /> <br />Members Present: Don Lokker, Janice Johnson, Dennis Donovan, John Lichter <br /> <br />Members Absent: Terry McLean, Ron Hetland <br /> <br />Others Present: Ted and Mary Kay Rouse, Jack and Margaret Biessel, Jean Schlueter <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />The March meeting minutes were read by Chairman Donovan. Motion by Commissioner <br />Johnson and seconded by Commissioner Lokker to approve of the March 18, 1982 <br />minutes as present. Motion carried. Voting yes: Cor~missioners Lokker, Lichter, <br />Donovan and Johnson. Voting no: None. <br /> <br />A discussion was held about scheduling the ballfields at Titterud Park. The Com- <br />mission agreed that the RYAA should schedule the field to reserve it for their <br />teams. The Commission will provide a letter stating this authority for the' RYAA <br />coaches. <br /> <br />Commissioner Lokker said that the RYAA and other athletic associations are hurting <br />for playing space. District #11 schools are suggesting that they may charge rent <br />for recreational facilities. Four members of the RYAA were present and indicated <br />the need for more fields. They suggested some development of the Federal Cartridge <br />property even if it was very limited. <br /> <br />It was suggested the RYAA appear at the April 27, 1982 Council meeting to bring <br />their concerns directly to them. <br /> <br />The annual budget summary was discussed with the RYAA members. <br />tioned which was a cost of $9,350 in 1981 for office equipment. <br />couldn't answer this question and will check into it. <br /> <br />One item was ques- <br />The Commission <br /> <br />Another complaint on Brookview Park was received.
