PARK AND RECREATION COMMISSION <br />REGULAR lfEETING OF JANUARY 15, 1981 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 7;00 P.M~ <br /> <br />Members Present: Terry McLean, John Lichter, Dennis Donovan, Janice Johnson <br /> and Dick Swanson <br /> <br />Others Present: John Thorne and Sidney Schaumburg <br /> <br />John Thorne appeared to present land sale information for Sidney Schaumburg <br />who arrived later. The land was a rectil%near strip of 12.5 acres southeast <br />of Sunfish Lake. The City Administrator had informed 1 ir. Thorne that the <br />park dedication fee for this property would be $1,105.00, It was recommended <br />the Council accept the fee in lieu of park land on a motion by Johnson smd <br />seconded by McLean. Mr. Schaumb~rg later requested that the City send him a <br />copy of these Park Commission minutes tol Sidney Schaumburg, 2185 East 17th <br />Avenue, North St. Paul, Minnesota 55.109, <br /> <br />The minutes of the December 18, 1980, meeting were reviewed and approved <br />after a motion by McLean and seconded by Johnson, <br /> <br />Commission members were considered for reappointment to the Commission. It <br />was recommended that the Council reappoint Donovan to a three year term and <br />McLean to a one year term on a motion by Johnson and a second by Lichter. <br /> <br />Donovan moved and Lichter seconded a motion that Swanson be appointed to <br />another term. <br /> <br />Chairman Donovan will check to see if Greg Drake has any further interest to <br />serve on the Commission. <br /> <br />The remainder of the meeting was spent laying out the brochure for the pro- <br />posed bond issue. <br /> <br />Meeting adjourned at 9:00 P.M. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br /> <br />John Lichter <br />Secretary <br /> <br /> <br />
