Currently the City has sections 751,752, and 753
in City Code to cover non-intoxicating and intoxicating on and off sales. The goal of the new
ordinance is to streamline all three existing ordinances into one ordinance. The new ordinance
was written based off a model ordinance from the League of Minnesota Cities. Mr. Goodrich
reviewed the current liquor licenses and the fees associated with those licenses, noting that all of
that information would be incorporated into the ordinance. In addition the new ordinance will
reference State Statute so that the City can stay on top of any changes that are made at the State

City Council Work Session/March 1, 2004
