ORDINANCE #04-14 CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA AN AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 4 OF THE CITY CODE WHICH CHAPTER IS KNOWN AS THE PUBLIC FACILITIES AND IMPROVEMENTS CHAPTER OF THE CITY CODE OF RAMSEY, MINNESOTA AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 4.80 TO THE CITY CODE, WHICH SECTION 4.80 IS ENTITLED "STORM DRAINAGE UTILITY" AND WHICH SECTION WAS ADOPTED PURSUANT TO CITY ORDINACE #00-01 Thc City of Ramsey ordains: SECTION 1. AMENDMENT Subsections 4.80.05 is amended to provide as follows: (new text italicized) 4.80.05 Standardized Acreage. r~,,~ m ......... r o;....nc.,; .... ........................... ~ ......... ~ ............ ~v~.a. r e purpose sin ng and equalizing charges against property used for residentiaI purposes the following process shall be used. Single family, ~o family, townhouse units and fitrmland properties which contain only a fitrmstead and typical associated outbuildings shall be considered as a singlefim~ily residentialproperty. Single family residentialproperties shall be considered to have an acreage of one-fourth acre and an REP of 1. properties with a business on the site shall be charged ~ the residential rate and ~ the business rate until such time as the business is no longer active on the site, at which time the rate shall be the standard single family residential rate. The properU owner shall be responsible for not~ying the City of this change of status. SECTION 2. SUMMARY Ordinance 00-01 was enacted pursuant to MN Statutes Section 444.075, which authorizes cities to impose just and reasonable charges for the use of storm water systems. This ordinance is an amendment to Ordinance 00-01 and amends said ordinance as follows: Section 4.80.05 is amended define the method of calculation for townhouse units and residential properties with a business.
