PRECEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A regular meeting of the Ramsey City Council was held on March 25, 1980, <br />at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd~ N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota <br />55303. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilman Sorteberg <br />Councilman Mickelson <br />Councilman Cox <br />Councilman Reimann <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator Schnelle <br />City Attorney Goodrich <br />City Engineer Raatikka <br />Building Official Berg <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the meeting to order at 8:05 P~M. and led the Pledge <br />of Allegiance. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />1) Ralph Forest, 15020 Xkimo, was present to voice his concern regard- <br />ing a drainage problem at his home. Councilman Cox read a letter from <br />Jean Forest, his wife, dated March 25, 1980. That letter is a part of <br />the City's official records. There was a general discussion concerning <br />the water problems which resulted from the rapid thaw during the past <br />week. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec stated the Forest's problems were not the result of the <br />City's pumping as alleged by Mr. Forest. Mr. Forest disagreed. <br /> <br />Councilman Cox recommended the Council move forward on its agenda. No <br />formal action was taken. <br /> <br />2) Mayor Gamec presented a placque to Mrs. Doris Irvine for her dedi- <br />cated service to the Ramsey Park Board. Mrs. Irvine was present and <br />thanked the Council for its commendation. <br /> <br />3) Mr. Ron Tregoning, 17700 Eaton Street N.W. asked regarding the <br />citizens blacktop petition on the streets in his neighborhood. The <br />status of the petition was explained to him. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Councilman Cox inquired regarding the status of the letter concerning <br />the Minnesota Daily.
