PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A regular meeting of the Ramsey City Comn¢il was held on Tuesday, <br />April 28, 1981, at the Ramsey Mtmicipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard <br />N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota 5530'3.~ <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec <br />Councilwoman Van Wagner <br />Councilman Cox <br />Councilman Reimarma <br />Cotuncilman Sorteberg <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Attorney Goodrich <br />City Administrator Schnelle <br />City Engineer Raatikka <br />City Building Official Berg <br />Press: Sandin <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the meeting tO order at 7:34 p.m. and led in the <br />Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Mr. Welsch came before the Council regarding complaints of debris on <br />his property. Administrator Schnelle stated Mr. Welsch feels he was <br />grandfathered into his car business and can conduct business where <br />he is. Mayor Gamec suggested putting the matter on the agenda for <br />a future meeting. City Attorney Goodrich will look into the legality <br />of the issue. ~yor Gamec asked Mr. Welsch to try to clean up his <br />property so debris would not be as apparent in the front yard. <br />Comncilman Cox stated for the record: "We are now picking onMr. <br />Welsch where other people are doing this and we should pick on all. <br />We should not pick on one party. To take care of that situation I <br />think we should take care of other situations like this." Council- <br />man Reimarm suggested referring this issue to the Planning and <br />Zoning Commission for some direction for regulation needs for <br />businessmen and the city position also. Councilman Cox stated <br />we should treat all people fairly by the ordinances. Mayor Gamec <br />stated Administrator Schnelle would bring back more information <br />for the Council regarding the duration of time Mr. Welsch has lived <br />at the property and direction from Attorney Goodrich. <br /> <br />A.
