The Special Primary held this past Tuesday went well. All polling <br />places were open and although the voter turnout wasn't great, there were some busy times in each <br />of the precincts. The County -wide turnout was just over 10 percent with the turnout in Ramsey <br />just over 9 percent (1,367 voting out of 14,645 registered voters). The County -wide vote totals <br />are as follows: Jim Abeler with 2,817, Andy Aplikowski with 1,807 and Roger Johnson with 282. <br />Ramsey's totals were Abeler with 796, Aplikowski with 503, and Johnson with 68. All eight of <br />Ramsey's precincts had checked in by 9:15 p.m. All results were modemed in to the County <br />probably by 8:30. The Special General Election is Tuesday, February 9 — all polling locations will <br />be open again from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. In-person absentee voting for the General begins <br />tomorrow morning (Friday) at 8:00 a.m. and continues through Monday, February 8. City Hall <br />will be open again on Saturday, February 6 from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. to accommodate in- <br />person absentee voting. <br />Armstrong Blvd. Interchange Open to Traffic. As of December 31, 2015, the Armstrong <br />Boulevard Interchange was officially opened to traffic. The new, grade -separated interchange will <br />provide safer, more convenient access between Armstrong Boulevard and Highway 10, without <br />having to wait for railroad traffic. Final improvements to the interchange will be completed next <br />spring including sidewalks on the bridge across Highway 10, landscaping, and other design <br />features. A formal dedication ceremony is being planned for this spring as well. The Andover/Ramsey Moms Club <br />is hosting a FREE Preschool Fair on Friday, January 22°a from 5:30- 7:30 p.m. at the Andover <br />Community Center, 15200 Hanson Blvd. This is a great opportunity to meet various preschools <br />throughout Anoka County in one location! Enjoy prizes, food and activities as well. <br />The Moms Club will be collecting non-perishable food items for the ACBC Food Shelf.
