CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A regular meeting of the Ramsey City Council was held on February 12, <br />1979 in the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd., Ramsey, Minnesota <br />55303. <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the meeting to order at 7:34 P,M. and led in the Pledge <br />of Allegiance to the Flag. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec Also Present: City Adm. Schnelle <br />Councilman Muller Street Superintendent Mevissen <br />Councilman Reimann City Attorney Goodrich <br />Councilman Mickelson <br />Councilman Cox arrived 7:37 and left at 9:28 P,M. <br /> <br />APPROVAL OF AGENDA <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by Councilman Mickelson to approve <br />the agenda with the following additions: <br /> <br />- Acting City Administmator <br />- Minnesota Cities Week <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting yes Mayor Gamec, Councilman Muller, Councilman <br />Reimann and Councilman Mickelson. Voting no None. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Mr. Ron Westby was present and discussed with the Council his request to <br />split a 7.4 acre parcel into two ~.7 acre lots by metes and bounds. It <br />had previously been before Council under the name of Victor Mastley and <br />Council had denied the request at that time. Mr. Jeff Mastley had been <br />before the Planning and Zoning Commission with the same request at their <br />February 5, 1979 meeting and Planning and Zoning advised them to go before <br />Council under the Citizen Input and get the Council's feelings on this re- <br />quest. <br /> <br />Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann to leave their <br />decision as made in the August 28~ 1978 meeting in the denial of the rex <br />quest to subdivide by metes and bounds a 7~4 ~cre parcel by Ron Westby~ <br /> <br />Motion carried,. Voting yes Mayor Gamec~ Councilman Muller' Counci'!man <br />Reimann, Counci~lm~n Cox, Voting no Councilman Mi'ckelson~ <br /> <br />Mr~ Bill Easley~ 4910 = 179th Avenue was present to discuss,~ith the Council <br />a problem with the snow plowing for the City of RamseM~. Mr~ Eas!ey is askv <br />lng the snow plows get closer to his mailbox'as the postal service is re= <br />fusing to deliver mail where they can't reach easily~ A general discussion <br />on the snow plowing for the City followed, It is the general concensus of <br />the Council that it is up to each individual homeowner to make sure the <br />snow is cleared from the mail boxes as it would be just too difficult for <br />the plow to clear it away without knocking them over. <br /> <br /> <br />
