CITY OF RAMSEY ANOKA COUNTY STATE OF MINNESOTA A regular meeting of the Ramsey City Council was held on February 12, 1979 in the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd., Ramsey, Minnesota 55303. Mayor Gamec called the meeting to order at 7:34 P,M. and led in the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. Present: Mayor Gamec Also Present: City Adm. Schnelle Councilman Muller Street Superintendent Mevissen Councilman Reimann City Attorney Goodrich Councilman Mickelson Councilman Cox arrived 7:37 and left at 9:28 P,M. APPROVAL OF AGENDA Motion by Councilman Reimann and seconded by Councilman Mickelson to approve the agenda with the following additions: - Acting City Administmator - Minnesota Cities Week Motion carried. Voting yes Mayor Gamec, Councilman Muller, Councilman Reimann and Councilman Mickelson. Voting no None. CITIZEN INPUT Mr. Ron Westby was present and discussed with the Council his request to split a 7.4 acre parcel into two ~.7 acre lots by metes and bounds. It had previously been before Council under the name of Victor Mastley and Council had denied the request at that time. Mr. Jeff Mastley had been before the Planning and Zoning Commission with the same request at their February 5, 1979 meeting and Planning and Zoning advised them to go before Council under the Citizen Input and get the Council's feelings on this re- quest. Motion by Councilman Cox and seconded by Councilman Reimann to leave their decision as made in the August 28~ 1978 meeting in the denial of the rex quest to subdivide by metes and bounds a 7~4 ~cre parcel by Ron Westby~ Motion carried,. Voting yes Mayor Gamec~ Councilman Muller' Counci'!man Reimann, Counci~lm~n Cox, Voting no Councilman Mi'ckelson~ Mr~ Bill Easley~ 4910 = 179th Avenue was present to discuss,~ith the Council a problem with the snow plowing for the City of RamseM~. Mr~ Eas!ey is askv lng the snow plows get closer to his mailbox'as the postal service is re= fusing to deliver mail where they can't reach easily~ A general discussion on the snow plowing for the City followed, It is the general concensus of the Council that it is up to each individual homeowner to make sure the snow is cleared from the mail boxes as it would be just too difficult for the plow to clear it away without knocking them over.
