Councilmember Johns introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br />RESOLUTION #16-01-010 <br />RESOLUTION APPOINTING ELECTION JUDGES FOR THE SPECIAL GENERAL <br />ELECTION ON FEBRUARY 9, 2016 <br />WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey will be conducting a Special General Election on <br />February 9, 2016, to fill the vacancy in Senate District 35, created by the resignation of Senator <br />Branden Petersen; and <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 204B.21, election judges for <br />precincts in a municipality must be appointed by the governing body of that municipality; and <br />WHEREAS, the hourly rate of pay will be $9.00 for election judge trainees, $10.00 for <br />regular election judges and $11.00 for chairs. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br />1) That the following individuals be appointed to serve as election judges for the Special <br />General Election to be held on February 9, 2016: <br />Gerri Wicht, Jan Cameron, Colleen Graber, Lonnie Suckow, Bernard Wiklund, Deb <br />Koepsell, Nancy Giddings, Bill Kociscak, Jean Lewandowski, Donella Petro, Del Howe, <br />Bruce Johnson, David May, Nancy Nelson, Sharon Mendenhall, Karen Henke, Kate <br />Woodfill, Richard (Scott) Cords, Peggy Howe, Lana Howell, LaVonne Suckow, Karin <br />Anderson, Jerilyn Bates, Michele Elifrits, Al Resler, Kathy Woods, Kevin Efram, Derek <br />Scheuermann, Marlene Kroll, Barbara Tokar, Paula Chicoine, Charlotte Culbertson, Marie <br />(Lena) Johnson, Michele Larkin, Sylvia Frolik, Tom Hoxter, Sandy Conlon, Darlene <br />Croteau, Pat Maxey and Carol Rudy.. <br />The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br />Shryock, and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br />Mayor Strommen <br />Councilmember Johns <br />Councilmember Shryock <br />Councilmember Kuzma <br />Councilmember Riley <br />Councilmember Williams <br />and the following voted against the same: <br />None <br />
