COUNCIL ZlZl/ /o ~.~) PROCEEDINGS OF THE CITY COUNCIL CITY OF RAMSEY COUNTY OF ANOKA STATE OF MINNESOTA A regular meeting of the Ramsey City Council was held on February 27, 1978, at Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Boulevard N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota 55303 PRESENT: Mayor Cox Councilman Gamec Councilman Muller Councilman Reimann ALSO PRESENT: Adm. Asst. Nereson ABSENT: Councilman Mickelson Mayor Cox called the meeting to order at 7:31 p.m. Mayor Cox led the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag. APPROVAL OF AGENDA MOTION by Reimann, seconded by Gamec to accept the Agenda as read. 4 Ay CITIZEN INPUT Mayor Cox asked for inout from citizens oresent. response. There was no APPROVAL OF MINUTES OF COUNCIL MEETING, FEBRUARY 13, 1978. A change was made by Mayor Cox on Page 2, Item 2, under Old Business. The wording in factor #1 should be changed to read: 1. Questionable sewer system availability and high water table. MOTION bv Reimann, seconded by Gamec to approve the minutes as corrected. 3 A] Councilman Muller Abstai~ LETTERS & CO~NICATIONS Mr. Nereson read a letter from the League of Minnesota Cities regarding a conference to be held at the Permanent Collection Gallery of the MN. Museum of Art. The conference fee is $10. Some of the topics include: self-insurance, phase-out of local police and fire funds and uniform local government election day. Mayor Cox expressed some displeasure with his experiences at these conferences in the past, however, in view of some of the topics being discussed, feels that the City should be reoresented at the conferenc Mr. Nereson is to attend the afternoon session and indicate to them the City's objection to the regional aspects costs. That is, the cost to the City each time we must resoond to requests sent down by regional agencies. Mayor Cox will also try to attend the conventi on ~lednesday evening.
