PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION <br />PUBLIC HEARING <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Planning and Zoning Commission conducted a public hearing on <br />Tuesday, March 3, 1987 at the Ramsey Municipal Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd. <br />N.W., Ramsey, Minnesota regarding Mr. Charles Christian's request for a <br />conditional use permit to store vehicles and operate an automobile sales <br />lot in the RB Rural Business District. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mr. Ken Peterson, Chairman <br />Mr. Roy Shumway <br />Mr. Ben Deemer <br />Mr. Gerald Zim~erman <br />Mr. Charles LaDue <br />Mr. Terry Hendriksen <br />Mr. Jim Howell <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Community Develo~ment Director Anne Norris <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairman Peterson called the public hearing to order at 8:10 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN INPUT <br /> <br />Mr. Charles Christian stated that he is developing Ramsey Commercial Park <br />and is requesting a conditional use permit to have a motor home/auto/truck/ <br />recreational vehicles sales lot at that location. <br /> <br />Dave Nathan- owner of Riverside Parts on Hwy. 10 - Inquired if this area <br />is zoned for recreational vehicle sales. <br /> <br />Commissioner Deemer stated that Ramsey's business codes are inadequate with <br />respect to specifying allowable land use activities and so conditional use <br />permits are necessary in a lot of cases. <br /> <br />Mr. Tom Kurak - 15001 Sunfish Lake Blvd. - Stated 'rolling businesses' are <br />good development to have until that time when a higher use of the property <br />is desired. <br /> <br />Motion byCommissioner Hendriksenand seconded by Commissioner Howell to <br />adjourn the public hearing. <br /> <br />Motion carried. Voting Yes: Chairman Peterson, Commissioners Deemer, <br />Shumway, Zi~merman, LaDue, Hendriksen and Howell.
