P &Z-1- <br />5/21/79 <br /> <br /> Planning & Zoning <br /> City of Ramsey <br />County of Anoka <br />State of Minnesota <br /> <br />Pursuant to due call and notice thereof, the Ramsey City Planning & Zoning <br />Commission held a Public Hearing on May 21, 1979 at the Ramsey Municipal <br />Center, 15153 Nowthen Blvd' N.W. Ramsey, Minnesota 55303. <br /> <br />Chairman Ken Peterson called the Public Hearing to order at 7:35 P.M. with <br />the following in attendance: <br /> <br />Ken Peterson <br />Kathy Schneider <br />Art Dunn <br />Gerry Zimmerman <br /> <br />Ron West <br />Ben Deemer <br />John Hubbard <br /> <br />Also present: Lloyd Schnelle, City Adm. <br /> Peter Raatikka, City Eng. <br /> <br />Chairman Ken Peterson eXPlained that this was a Public Hearing to discuss and <br />receive input regarding a request from Mr. William Proft for a Home Occupation <br />Permit to operate a sign business out of a garage located at 8964 Hwy 10. N.W. <br /> <br />Mr. Rueben Pearson, the previous owner of the property was present to explain <br />that he has been using the garage for selling Amzoil for the last six years <br />without any complaints from the neighbors, and that he didn't feel a sign business <br />would cause any problems. <br /> <br />Mr. Proft explained that in his opinion there would not be as much traffic as <br />there would be with a beauty Shop operating out of a home, and that he wouldn't <br />be changing the character of the property, but would like to continue using a <br />sign in front. Mr. Proft also provided pictures of his present location, plus <br />letters of recommendation from the Mayor of Columbia Heights and Anoka County <br />Board of Commissioner Kordiak. <br /> <br />Public Hearing adjourned 7:41 p.m. <br /> <br />Respectfully submitted, <br />Kathleen Schneider <br /> <br /> <br />
