2/7/77 <br />P & Z Public <br />Hearing- City <br />Hall Building <br /> <br /> PUBLIC HEARING <br /> CITY OF RAMSEY <br />COUNTY OF ANOKA <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />A public hearing was conducted by the Ramsey City Planning and Zoning Commission <br />on February 7, ].977, for a :onditional use permit to construct a city hall building. <br /> <br />Present: Tom Gamec, Chairm~n <br /> Brad Bodle <br /> Gerald Zimmerman <br /> Ken Peterson <br /> Ron West <br /> Tom Moorhouse <br /> A1 Sorteberg <br /> <br />Also present' Mr. Nereson, City Administrative Asst. <br /> <br />No other citizens input i <br /> <br />Public Hearing closed at 7i30P.M. <br /> <br />Respectfully, <br /> <br />Gerald Zimmerman <br />Recording Secretary <br /> <br />The public hearing was called to order at 7:05 p.m. <br />Phil Nereson, City Adm. Asset. stated that notices of the public hearing were sent <br />to 18 adjacent property owners and notice was published in the Anoka County <br />Union. <br /> <br />Phil then read a report that he prepared containing information about the <br />proposed new city hall, such as location, amount and source of grants, size <br />of building, etc. Copy of this report is on file at City Hall. <br /> <br />Ken Peterson made the comment that Phil had done an outstanding job in preparing <br />this report. <br /> <br />Comments from the public: <br /> <br />Leon Fisher, 15311Nowthen iBoulevard, asked how this new building might affect <br />the availability of sewer iln this area. Having five acres of land he was <br />concerned about the assessments that he would incur if sewer would come through. <br />He also asked what was the llong range plan in this area. <br /> <br />Phil Nereson explained wha~ zoning was in effect at this time in his area, and <br />what other business would De allowed in this area. <br /> <br />A1 Kempf, 15220 Nowthen Boqlevard, asked if this site was an appropriate <br />site for a future water tower. <br /> <br />Phil said that Ramsey had 4o plans for a water tower at present but that <br />this could be used for sucH a site. <br /> <br />Tom Gamec asked about screening on this site and Phil Nereson said that <br />this would be taken care ot at time of construction. <br /> <br />Mr. Nereson said that a Construction Advisory Committee consisting of: <br />Phil Nereson, Dave Mickelscn (Chairman), Dick Sha, Bill Goodrich, Jack Boarman, <br />Roger Meyers and John Hubbard was recently formed. The purpose is to handle <br />an.% change that might occur in the construction phase. <br /> <br /> <br />
