Enjoy a ribbon cutting <br />ceremony, great BBQ, and entertainment for all ages. Attached to the Weekly Update is a Flyer <br />Regarding the Northern Starz Children's Theatre Community Picnic. <br />Preview of Next Week <br />Please Note: there are no meetings scheduled for next week. <br />Council Update <br />Update on Candidate Filings. No new candidates filed by 5:00 p.m., Tuesday, May 31, which <br />was the end of the filing period. The four incumbents will be running in the General Election <br />unopposed. There will be no local offices on the Primary Election ballot. <br />Coborns will No Longer be Open Overnight. The Store Manager from the Ramsey Coborns <br />has informed our Police Chief that, beginning June 5, 2016, Coborns will no longer be open <br />overnight. Their new hours will be 5 a to l 1pm. This was a corporate decision that effects more <br />than just the Ramsey store. At their St. Cloud location they had safety concerns for their staff <br />working overnights and an increase in thefts. The increased liability paired with a low volume of <br />sales during overnight hours drove the decision. <br />After a one year Hiatus, the Special Olympics Minnesota Torch Run is Back!! The torch run <br />will be held on Tuesday, June 28 beginning at 8:30 a.m. at the City of Ramsey Police Department. <br />Ramsey PD will be responsible for bringing the torch to the Anoka County Sherriff s Office. The <br />torch will then be passed along to other agencies and brought all the way to Lino PD. <br />City Staff is welcome to join Ramsey's leg of the event, which will be 8.8 miles. There will be <br />many support vehicles following along and we encourage runners to stop at any time and hitch a <br />
