Sect. <br /> Thomas ' Game c ~ <br /> Gerald Zimmerma~ <br /> Thomas Moorhouse <br /> Absent: Ron West <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by Chairman Sorteberg at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Mr. Walker discussed the~two public hearings that are to be held on <br />September 7, 1976. The public hearings are for the purpose of reviewing <br />the preliminary plat of ,Tiger Construction called Forest Hideaway and <br />the ~pplication for a conditional use permit for a dog kennel by Van <br />Odegaard. <br /> <br />¥~. Walker also discusse.~ a brochure on economic development from <br />Coon Rapids. I <br /> <br />Variance application by Don Greenberg for a variance to convey a piece <br />of land by metes and bouhds. <br /> <br />Mr. Greenberg wishes to convey land in the unplatted part of Gateway <br />North Industrial Park to! Mr. Doug Hanson who wants to build a sttel <br />building for light manufacturing purposes. At the present time, the <br />property is accessable o~ly by private road which is not up to the <br />required standards. A general discussion was held on the request. <br /> <br />Motion by Thomas Gamec, ~seconded by Bradley Bodle to grant Don <br />Greenberg a variance to iconvey be metes and bounds a piece of land <br />in the unplatted part o~. the Gateway North Industrial Park, legal <br />description is on the p~rchase agreement with the following stipulations; <br />a. that a 66 foot wide iroadway be dedicated to the City of Ramsey; <br />b. the City take over ~he responsibility for the road as it is now <br />(maintenance wise); c. that at a future date Industrial Park and the <br />benefitted property owners assume the entire cost of bringing the road <br />up to the required standards. <br /> ~ Carried 4 to 1 <br /> ' Zimmerman voted No <br /> <br />Herbert and Catherine J6hnston requested a variance to construct a <br />house of 960 square fee~ without the required garage. The house to <br />be built on Lot 3, BlocR 14, Whispering Pines Estates. This is a <br />variance to Ordinance 74-8, Section 1. <br /> <br />Motion by Zimmerman, seconded by Moorhouse to recommend to the Council <br />that a variance be granted to Mr. Herbert Johnston to allow him to <br /> <br /> <br />
