REGULAR RkMSEY PLANNING & ZONING COMMISSION MEETING <br /> <br />March 3, 1975 <br /> <br />The meeting was calle~1%o order by theChairman, Mr. Sorteberg <br />at 7:30 p.m. Present were Mr. Bodle, Mr. Pittman, Mr. Fossum, <br />and Mr~ G~eco <br /> <br />Mr. Bodle moved the m~nutes of the last meeting'be approved as <br />mailed. Seconded by ?4r~ Fossum. Motion carriedunanimously. <br /> <br />Anoka-International Sales & Service: Mr. Ely and Mr. David Pe~- <br />erson: They showed the Commission the plans for the building <br />they plan to construc't on their property on Highway lC, This <br />building is to be use~i for their own shop work on their trucks <br />and for storage. Mr. Merle Anderson was present with comments <br />on this matter. The 4uilding Inspector. will hay · togive them <br />the O.K. on their sew~r system. They cannot put the building <br />where they now have it planned without obtaining a variance for <br />set backs. Mr. Anderson said the present screening was an Old <br />chain link fence. He would recommend that this Commission visit' <br />the area before they make a decision. The Chairman asked if the <br />firm leasing their bu~[lding had an agreement with them as to how <br />this screening was to be done around their commercial area. <br /> <br />Mr. Bodle moved that we recommend a variance not be granted to <br />Anoka-International S;~les & Service for the placement of this <br />building and that it be placed according to our ordinances and <br />· that they get their permit from the City Council. Seconded by <br />Mr. Gamec. Motion ca~r~.ed unanimously. <br /> <br />Fred Myers, 160&5 St. Francis Blvd. N.W.: He. wants to put up a <br />pole building on his property. The building is to be used for <br />farm machinery, cattl~ ~nd his truck. This wouldbea Morton <br />pole building. He ha~ 20 acres. Mr. Bodle moved he set the <br />building back according to what the state requires with the appro- <br />val of the Building Inspector. Seconded by Mr. Gamec. Motion. <br />carriedunanimousl¥~ <br /> <br />Mr. Gamec moved we ask Mr. Thurston to come to a meeting and <br />explain thais to us~ ~;eoonded by Mr. Fossum.. Motion passed uaan- <br />imouslyo <br /> <br />Rezoning south of Highw~y 10. Merle Anderson has written a let- <br />ter to the Planning & Zoning Commission and had another one to <br />add to it. He said "We further recommend the land lying between' <br />i-1 and the Mississippi River also be rezoned to r-1 as it con- <br />tains seven residential homes. <br /> <br />Mr. Bodle moved we re~:om~end to the Council that the area from <br />Anoka City limits to Highway 57, south of Highway lO R/W, with <br />the exception of the Anoka-International Sales & Service Pro- <br />perry be rezoned residential with the exception of 275 feet south <br />of Highway l0 R/W~ Seconded by Mr. Gamec. Motion carried unani- <br />mously~ <br /> <br /> <br />
