CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Tuesday, April 20, 2004, <br />at the Ramsey Fire Station Number I, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />M embers Present: <br /> <br />Councilmember Todd Cook <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember Patti Kurak <br />Councilmember A1 Pearson <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Pro Tern Zimmennan called the City Council Work Session to order at 7:22 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />Assistant Public Works Director Olson indicated the streetscape design for RTC would be <br />covered as Case 1, and the RTC Park Proposal would be covered as Case 2. <br /> <br />COUNCIl. TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1) Streetscape Design for RTC <br /> <br />The Council, staff, Bruce Jacobsen of Close Landscape Architects, and Leo Offerman of <br />Connexus Energy reviewed the streetscape design for RTC. This included discussion of paving, <br />crosswalks, lighting, signage, plantings, furnishings, fences and screening, and plazas and <br />gathering spaces. <br /> <br />Councihnember Elvig noted the Facilities Group is working on a list of key words that describe <br />the vision for City Hall. This perspective of the Facilities Group should be considered in this <br />process. <br /> <br />Leo Ol'fcrman of Connexus Energy reviewed lighting options for the streetscape. He advised <br />Connexus will put in whatever lighting the City would like.
