MAKE THE SCENE, KEEP RAMSEY CLEAN <br /> <br /> Committee Meeting Minutes <br /> <br /> October 3, 1988 <br /> <br />Members present: <br /> <br />Gary Hoffard <br />Larry Anderson <br />Steve Bluhm <br />Claudia Dodge <br />John Lichter <br />Bob Muller <br />Jim Gromberg, Staff Liaison <br /> <br />Kathi Peterson <br />Dave Bawden <br />Robert Bruns <br />Leo LeTourneau <br />Merle Mevissen <br />Dale Olson <br /> <br />The meeting was called at 7:10 p.m. by Gary Hoffard, Vice-Chairman. <br /> <br />The following item was added to the agenda under ~6. Other Business: <br />Landfill Commission Up-date. <br /> <br />Minutes were approved with a motioh from Leo LeTourneau which was seconded <br />by Steve Bluhm. <br /> <br />Leo LeTourneau, Chair-Business & Finance, identified the goals of the <br />sub-committee as follows: <br /> <br />1. Identify and classify businesses <br />2. Establish a line of communication <br />3. Provide recycling opportunities <br /> <br />Claudia Dodge, Chair-Communications & Public Relations, identified the <br />goals of the sub-committee as follows: <br /> <br />1. Publicize the recycling program <br />2. Educate the public through the schools <br /> <br />Steve Bluhm, Chair-Municipal Operations, identified the goals of the sub- <br />committee as follows: <br /> <br />1. Promote the KAB program to Anoka County <br />2. Track grant programs available at all levels of government with <br /> possible tie-in to finance sub-committee. <br /> <br />A review of the KAB priorities was done. O~er-all major goals of the <br />program are communication and financial resource identification. <br /> <br />The following sub-committee meetings were set: <br /> <br />Communications & Public Relations <br />Municipal Operations <br />Business & Finance <br /> <br />October 11 @ 5:00 p.m. <br />October 17 @ 7:00 p.m. <br />November 7 @ 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />The next full Make the Scene, Keep Ramsey Clean Committee meeting will <br />be November 7, 7:00 p.m. at Ramsey Municipal Center. <br /> <br />A Landfill Commission up-date was given by Steve Bluhm. A recycling <br />pilot program will be instituted in Flintwood Hills, Ramsey Terrace, <br />and River's Bend sub-divisions beginning November 1, 1988.
