MAKE THE SCENE, KEEP RAMSEY CLEAN COMMITTEE <br /> <br /> MEETING MINUTES <br /> <br /> October 16, 1989 <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. by Chairman Terry Miller. <br /> <br />Members present: Merle Mevissen, Dave Bawden, Terry Miller, Kathi Peterson, <br /> Jim Gromberg, Gary Hoffard, and Bruce Bacon. <br /> <br />The agenda was approved. <br /> <br />Committee Business: <br /> <br />1. Budgets for 1990 were discussed. <br />2. A motion to ask the City Council. for direction for programs dealing <br /> with composting and recycling for 1990 was approved. <br />3. Members were instructed to submit revisions to the Landfill Abatement <br /> Plan to Jim Gromberg prior to December 1. <br />4. A motion to have Claudia Dodge and Kathi Peterson represent Ramsey <br /> KAB at the National Convention was approved. <br />5. The following nominations for 1990 offices were accepted: <br /> Chairman - Kathi Peterson <br /> Vice-Chair. Claudia Dodge <br /> Financial- <br /> Secretary- <br />6. The Education Sub-Committee reported that the Lugger Day at Ramsey <br /> Elementary was a success with substantial monies being earned from <br /> the collection of aluminum cans. <br /> The Teddy Bear Band presented a program at the school. <br />7. The Solid Waste Issues Sub-Committee discussed the background tests <br /> for the Elk River UPA Facility. A motion was approved to recommend <br /> to the City Council that a baseline study of the plume be done or <br /> that information be extracted from the present studies to establish <br /> a baseline for pollution in the City of Ramsey. <br />8. No sub-committee meetings were scheduled. <br />9. The next full committee meeting will be November 6 at 7:00 p.m. <br /> <br />The meeting was adjourned at 8:25 p.m. <br /> <br />Respectfu~ submittedI <br /> <br />Kathi Peterson <br />Secretary <br /> <br /> <br />
