CITY COUNCIL WORK SESSION <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br /> ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey City Council conducted a City Council Work Session on Tuesday, June 8, 2004, at <br />the Ramsey Fire Station Number I, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Mayor Thomas Gamec <br />Councilmember Todd Cook <br />Councilmember David Elvig <br />Councilmember Patti Kurak <br />Councilmember A1 Pearson <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Administrator James E. Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson <br /> <br />CAI~L TO ORDER <br /> <br />Mayor Gamec called the City Council Work Session to order at 6:00 p.m. <br /> <br />APPROVE AGENDA <br /> <br />City Administrator Norman indicated item 14 on the consent agenda of the Council meeting <br />tonight will be discussed as Case 1. <br /> <br />The agenda was approved as amended. <br /> <br />COUNCIL TOPICS FOR DISCUSSION <br /> <br />1) Resoh~tion Authorizing the Loan Application and Purchase of Two Properties <br /> Under the RALF Program <br /> <br />Jodi Ruehle, The Tinklenberg Group, informed the Council the guidelines that the Met Council <br />has set forth I'or applying for RALF funds includes a resolution that authorizes the application <br />process to begin, as well as the negotiations with the property owners. Over the last few months <br />they have been working with the Holaseks and Hamiltons and Mr. Miller regarding property <br />needed for easements. They did, however, have to hold efta little bit because of the official map <br />ordinance. Now that the ordinance is completed the resolution can be authorized. She explained <br />the application process is quite simple. They are asking for preliminary approval, which the Met <br />Council sends along to MnDOT for any comments. They can then move through the appraisal <br />rcview and certification process.
