The first event of this year was held on Tuesday the 24th at
Elmcrest Park. This `Art in the Park' program included making a sea glass mosaic frame and
painting a canvas panel within. The instructor from Rumriver Art Center provided the following
feedback: "We ended up with 9 participants and one parent stayed around...It seemed like
everyone had a fun time and asked about future events. This all ages was nice, but the adults were
all over an adult paint and wine class."
Staff is working on completing the 2017 calendar of events and currently have at least one offering
each month. Programs will appeal to a variety of people and provide opportunities from art to
physical activity. Evaluations will be conducted during or after every program in order to
continually improve service and respond to residents desires. Ideas for programming?
