FINANCE COMMITTEE <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br />STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramscy Finance Committee conducted a regular meeting on Tuesday, July 27, 2004, at the <br />Ramsey Fire Station Number I, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairperson David Elvig <br />Councilmember Sarah Strommen <br />Councilmember Gerald Zimmerman <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Finance Officer Diana Lund <br />City Administrator James Norman <br />Assistant City Administrator Heidi Nelson <br />Assistant Public Works Director Brian Olson <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER <br /> <br />Chairperson Elvig called the regular meeting of the Finance Committee to order at 5:36 p.m. <br /> <br />CITIZEN 1NPUT <br /> <br />Thcrc was BODE. <br /> <br />COMMITTEE BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #1: <br /> <br />Consider Proposal from BKV Group for Continued Design Work on City <br />Hall/Police Facility <br /> <br />Assistant City Administrator Nelson reviewed that in March of this year, City Council authorized <br />schematic design and visioning work for the City Hall/Police Facility project. A community <br />open house was held on June 29th regarding the project. Staff anticipates the design and <br />visioning work wrapping up in mid to late August, at such time, an update will be provided to the <br />Council regarding schematic design. The next steps in the process would be to begin design <br />development for the project. Staff has solicited a proposal from the architectural and <br />construction management firms for the project for the design development phase. Staff is <br />proposing to utilize funds from the Equipment Replacement Fund and the Facility Construction <br />Fund for the design development work as proposed. <br /> <br />Councilmember Zimmerman inquired if there is a specified site located for the City Hall. <br /> <br />Finance Committee/July 27, 2004 <br /> Page 1 of 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
