Councilmember Riley introduced the following resolution and moved for its adoption: <br /> RESOLUTION #17-01-024 <br /> RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING FINAL PAYMENT TO ALLIED BLACKTOP CO. FOR <br /> IMPROVEMENT PROJECT #16-00 DIVISION Al; 2016 CRACKSEAL AND <br /> SEALCOAT IMPROVEMENTS <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Ramsey adopted a budget for 2016 that included $500,000 for <br /> cracksealing and sealcoating various public streets as part of the City's annual Street Maintenance <br /> Program for 2016;and <br /> WHEREAS,pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted June 28, 2016, the City <br /> Council accepted final plans and specifications and authorized advertisements for bids for said <br /> improvements; and <br /> WHEREAS,pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted July26, 2016 the bid of <br /> Allied Blacktop Co. in the amount of$139,684.30 for the total bid is the lowest responsible bidder; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, as of January 24, 2017 $145,853.12 has been paid to date; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Senior Engineering Technician has inspected the completed work and <br /> recommends final payment to Allied Blacktop Co. in the amount of$7,676.48. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> RAMSEY, ANOKA COUNTY, STATE OF MINNESOTA, as follows: <br /> That the City Council hereby authorizes final payment to Allied Blacktop Co. for Improvement <br /> Project 16-00 Division Al; 2016 Crackseal and Sealcoat Improvements in the amount of <br /> $7,676.48. <br /> That the City Council hereby accepts the project and authorizes the Mayor or City Administrator <br /> to sign the release form for this payment. <br /> That the total amount of this payment is not included in resolutions approving payment of bills <br /> for the date of January 24, 2017. <br /> That the City of Ramsey Finance Department will be provided a signed copy of this resolution <br /> The motion for the adoption of the foregoing resolution was duly seconded by Councilmember <br /> Kuzma and upon vote being taken thereon, the following voted in favor thereof: <br /> Mayor Strommen <br /> Councilmember Riley <br /> Councilmember Kuzma <br /> Councilmember Johns <br /> Councilmember LeTourneau <br /> Councilmember Shryock <br />
