On Monday March 13, 2017 Public Works employee and paid on call
firefighter, Mike Nielsen, just finished his shift plowing snow off roads in Ramsey overnight.
Mike was traveling on Hwy 10, and pulled up to the stoplight at Hwy 10 and Sunfish Lake Blvd.,
when he noticed a woman in a car that appeared 'out of it' and having a possible medical condition.
Mike had the woman pull her car off the highway, called 911, and provided care and reassurance
to the woman who was having a diabetic reaction. Police, Fire, and Allina paramedics arrived and
took over care of the woman.
