The Spring Recycling Day event is scheduled for <br />Saturday, May 6, from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Public Works campus. The purpose of the event <br />is to provide residents an opportunity to properly dispose of items that are generally not accepted <br />through the curbside recycling program, including appliances, electronics, batteries, fluorescent <br />bulbs, scrap metal and tires. Standard recyclables, such as newspaper, cardboard, cans, bottles <br />etc., are also accepted. Mattresses and box springs in any condition will be accepted. Carpeting <br />(and carpet padding) and textiles are also accepted. The event also includes free document <br />destruction (paper shredding) for residents to securely dispose of papers containing personal data <br />(limit of 3 boxes per vehicle) and free disposal of used oil, oil filters and antifreeze.
