The purpose <br />of the event is to provide residents an opportunity to properly dispose of items that are <br />generally not accepted through the curbside recycling program, including appliances, <br />electronics, batteries, fluorescent bulbs, scrap metal and tires. Standard recyclables, such <br />as newspaper, cardboard, cans, bottles etc., are also accepted. Mattresses and box springs <br />in any condition will be accepted. Carpeting (and carpet padding) and textiles are also <br />accepted. The event also includes free document destruction (paper shredding) for <br />
