BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT <br />CITY OF RAMSEY <br />ANOKA COUNTY <br /> STATE OF MINNESOTA <br /> <br />The Ramsey Board of Adjustment reconvened a regular meeting on Thursday, October 10, 2002, <br />at the Ramsey Fire Station #2, 15050 Armstrong Boulevard NW, Ramsey, Minnesota. <br /> <br />Members Present: <br /> <br />Chairperson Michael Nixt <br />Board Member Ralph Brauer <br />Board Member Bill Kociseak <br />Board Member Michael Reeve <br /> <br />Members Absent: <br /> <br />Board Member Robert Johnson <br />Board Member Eric Watson <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />City Engineer Steve Jankowski <br />Principal Planner Patrick Tmdgeon <br />Associate Planner Megan Wald <br /> <br />RECONVENE <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt reconvened the regular meeting at 7:04 p.m. and explained that the Board of <br />Adjustment would be considering the item that had been tabled at the October 3, 2002 meeting. <br /> <br />PUBLIC HEARINGS/BOARD BUSINESS <br /> <br />Case #2: <br /> <br />Request for a Variance to Landscape Area Requirements; Case of Bulow, <br />Inc. <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt closed the regular portion of the Board of Adjustment meeting at 7:05 p.m. in <br />order to reopen the public hearing. <br /> <br />Public Hearing <br /> <br />Chairperson Nixt reconvened the public hearing at 7:05 p.m. <br /> <br />Presentation <br /> <br />Principal Planner Trudgeon explained that Bulow, Inc. is requesting a variance to the landscape <br />area requirements as part of their application for site plan approval of a 6,000 square foot multi- <br />tenant commercial building located in the northeast comer of Dysprosium St. and County <br />Highway 116. Specifically, the applicant is asking for a variance from the requirement that <br />developments shall provide a 20-foot landscaped area adjacent to public roads. Also the <br />applicant is asking for a variance from the requirement that a commercial development shall <br />provide a 40' landscaped buffer when adjacent to a residential development, as is the case along <br /> <br /> <br />
